about becca
Becca Breed (formerly Bec Ellis) is a filmmaker, cinematographer, photographer, and writer based in Bend, Oregon. Her work is an invitation to pay closer attention—through intimate documentaries, lyrical imagery, and reflective writing, she explores art, connection, and the quiet moments where beauty and meaning emerge.
She is the creator and director of Your Art Here, a documentary series that profiles artists and makers whose work shapes the creative landscape of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Through intimate, visually rich storytelling, the series celebrates the creative process while asking larger questions about purpose, resilience, and what it means to make something that matters.
In addition to documentary filmmaking, Becca works as a cinematographer and photographer for artists, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations. Her visual style is rooted in natural light, emotional honesty, and a quiet observational approach that invites viewers to slow down and see the sacred woven through everyday moments.
As a writer, Becca is the author of A Mother Carries, a collection of poetry exploring the raw emotions presented within the motherhood experience. Across every medium, her work reflects a belief that storytelling has the power to foster empathy and self-acceptance, cultivate curiosity, and remind us of our shared humanity.
Whether working independently or collaborating with her creative partner, filmmaker Jake Breed, Becca creates films and photographs that are both artful and deeply human.
